Read full description of the books Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns:

As the first Goosebumps book I read as a child, perhaps I'm a bit blinded by nostalgia. The story centers around Halloween, a recurring theme in these books. Its similar to You Can't Scare Me! in the fact that the main character's actions revolve around scaring two kids who refuse to be spooked, which eventually end them up in trouble with the pumpkin-headed creeps on the cover. However, despite a hokey premise and a strange timeline with multiple flashbacks, I enjoyed this book a lot. The writing and descriptions were great, but the plot definitely veered into corniness a few times. But it's Goosebumps, so what do you expect? It was actually a tradition for me to read this book every Halloween when I was younger and it'll always hold a place in my top ten books of this series. Recommended, especially if you like Halloween stories.
